Making your way to the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery, is easy!
The NEC is situated right in the middle of England. It’s extremely easy to get to either by road, rail or air being at the hub of the UK motorway network, having its own railway station (Birmingham International) and has Birmingham Airport right next door.
There are many ways to get to the NEC, please see various options below to help you plan your journey...
The NEC is easily accessed from the M25, M11, A406 and A13. For Sat Nav purposes, we recommend using the postcode - B40 1NT. Once you arrive at the NEC don’t follow your satnav anymore, instead follow the signs and you will be directed to a car park by the traffic team.
Please bear in mind that the NEC will charge each car £16.00* on the day to park (click here to see the NEC's parking information), so it’s a good idea to share cars with friends to keep costs down. Motorcycles park free. Just so you are aware, this is a charge levied by the venue, not by the show.
There are shuttle buses running from the NEC car parks to the halls.
Disabled parking bays for blue badge holders are available. These are allocated upon arrival by NEC traffic staff. The NEC require assisted access visitors to pay the standard charge of £16.00* to park - this policy is nothing to do with us as the organisers of the Show.
You may find that parking in Birmingham International Station is cheaper (and it’s just a short undercover walk to the halls from here – no more than from NEC Car Parks). Postcode for Birmingham International Station is B40 1PA
*Book your parking in advance and save £4. Also feel free to find local parking areas/train stations and make your way from there to save too. For all parking options for the NEC, please click here.
Birmingham International Station is located in the NEC complex and is literally just a few minutes undercover walk to/from the show. If your line doesn’t stop directly at Birmingham International Station then simply change at Birmingham New Street Station onto one of the regular services going through Birmingham International.

If you are planning to travel by train to the Show, book with Virgin Trains and receive a 20% discount! Simply book your journey to the NEC using this link: http://po.st/classiccar and the 20% discount will be automatically applied to your booking!
Birmingham International Airport is right next door and there is a monorail link that means it takes only about 10-15 minutes from walking through arrivals in the Airport to walking into the show itself. Again, the transfer from Airport to show is completely undercover. Flybe, Ryanair and several other budget operators fly in and out of Birmingham International Airport (BHX) along with many other International Airlines. For visitors travelling from further away, there are over 20 international airlines serving BHX.
