Spring's Biggest Classic Car and Restoration Show Returns to Birmingham's NEC
Spring has truly sprung as the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 22-24 March with over 160 classic motoring clubs and over 1,300 cars on display.

Spring has truly sprung as the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 22-24 March with over 160 classic motoring clubs and over 1,300 cars on display.

Expect to see engines rebuilt, interiors replaced, brightwork refurbished and much more as the clubs pull out all the stops to pass on their knowledge to motoring fans of all ages.

Throughout the three-day show, the Practical Classics World will welcome TV motoring celebrities to the Your Shout Stage. Don’t miss former Wheeler Dealers’ mechanic Ant Anstead, Salvage Hunters: Classic Cars host Paul Cowland, Dream Car Fixers’ Sheldon Nichols, and Classic Obsession’s Gary Mavers.

On Saturday, we’ll also be joined by Richard Hammond and the team from The Smallest Cog as well as Dominic Chinea from BBC’s The Repair Shop.

There will also be a live restoration of a Mini Countryman, PC’s Greatest Hits with the presentation of the Restorer of the Year, and your chance to see the stars of Staff Car Sagas up close.

The team from Gilbert Michaelson will be in the Restoration Workshop offering classes and demonstrations on restoring body work including panel making and lead loading.

While for those who dream of undertaking a mammoth project, the Footman James Barn Find display brings together hidden treasures from out-buildings, sheds, yards and indeed barns from all over the UK.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite out of the 20 finalists in the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership competition. From a 1956 Austin A35 to a 2004 MG XPower SV, the finalists have either restored their vehicles or have a fantastic story to tell.

The Sporting Bears brings Dream Rides to the NEC, offering ten-mile rides as a passenger in one of the cars from the Dream Rides Garage in exchange for a charitable donation. Cars on offer range from British sports cars to more modern supercars. Every penny raised goes to children’s charities across the UK.

Along with all the features, the show also boasts the UK’s biggest indoor spring autojumble and 250 specialist traders as well as a two-day sale by Classic Car Auctions featuring around 200 vehicles.
