Classic Community Celebrated as National Car Club Awards Returns to Birmingham's NEC

Following the triumph of 2023, The National Car Club Awards, proudly sponsored by Lancaster Insurance, will once again grace the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show at Birmingham’s NEC from March 22-24, 2024. The awards ceremony, set for Saturday afternoon on the Practical Classic World stage, warmly welcomes all visitors.

Esteemed judges will determine winners in two categories: The Judges Special Recognition Awards, acknowledging outstanding clubs and individuals, and the At Show Awards, bestowed upon exhibiting car clubs. The third category, the People’s Choice Award, is chosen by Classic Car Weekly readers.

Lee Masters, Awards Panel Chairman, said: "These awards are crucial to recognise and celebrate the tireless efforts clubs and their members contribute to our brilliant community."

Judges Special Recognition Awards include Car Club of The Year, Charitable Endeavours, Support of the Next Generation, Event/Run of The Year, and Lifetime Achievement.

At Show Awards span Best Live Working, Best Live Demonstration, Best Barn Find/Unrestored Car in Show, Best Restored Car in Show, and two Best Stand in Show awards (under and over 80 square metres).

The 'Celebrities Choice' Award will honour the car that captivates our motoring celebrities at the show with Ant Anstead, Paul Cowland, Dominic Chinea, Sheldon Nichols and Gary Mavers all attending.

Classic Car Weekly readers will nominate their 'Car Club Hero,' recognizing an individual's exceptional contributions to their club and fellow members.

Andrew Evanson, Senior Operations Manager at Lancaster Insurance Services, emphasised the vital role clubs play in the community, expressing pride in supporting an event that showcases their outstanding work.
