Midas Owners Club

The Midas Owners Club was formed to support Midas owners and promote interest in these unique British sportscars.  The first Midas coupe was developed as a replacement for the Mini Marcos. Harold Dermott of D&H Fibreglass Techniques commissioned Richard Oakes to design a new coupe based on Mini mechanicals. This was debuted at the 1978 Performance Car Show and the first customer cars were delivered the following year.  The Mk1 Midas Coupe was updated in 1981 as the Mk2, "Midas Bronze", which was joined in 1985 by the MG Metro based Midas Gold.
