The Commonwealth Car Club celebrates vehicles from across the Commonwealth and beyond. We are a welcoming and inclusive club, proudly guided by our motto, “Fuelled by Friendship.”
Our story began in Birmingham, England, during the 22nd Commonwealth Games. As part of the Opening Ceremony, 72 red, white and blue vehicles formed the UK flag inside the stadium. Sixty of those cars were volunteered by drivers from across the UK, using their own vehicles. What started as a small group of Opening Ceremony drivers quickly gained momentum, with growing interest from enthusiasts eager to be part of something special.
In March 2024, the Commonwealth Car Club was officially launched. Since then, we have attended events across the country and hosted our own flagship Retro & Refined event at the Alexander Stadium, the iconic home of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. This year, Retro & Refined will take place on Saturday 6 June, 10am–4pm, and we warmly invite you to join us at the stadium.
This year also marks the first time the Commonwealth Car Club has had a stand at the Classic Car & Restoration Show. Following the success of our club stand at the Classic Motor Show in 2025, we were keen to be involved in this year’s event. We are delighted that our sister club, the Coleshill Auto Breakfast Meet, will be exhibiting on a neighbouring stand.
In addition, the club will be hosting its Big Day Out at Statfold Country Park on Sunday 31 May, 10am–4pm. The Commonwealth Car Club will be attending, and we encourage you to join us for what promises to be a fantastic day.
Details of all our upcoming events can be found on our website. We look forward to welcoming you at the Classic Car & Restoration Show and at one of our many events throughout the year.
