DB5: NEC Connection Pays Off!
The DB5 on our stand won't be so complete!

At the NEC Classic Motor Show last November, a visitor to the AstonOwners.com stand came to seek advice about restoring his Aston Martin DB5.

After starting the work on the iconic car himself, the owner decided that some professional help to continue and finish the job would be a wise decision. But who to use?

Stories of immense costs, unwillingness to take on partially completed work, and other worries, lay behind his tentative enquiry to the experts on the AstonOwners.com stand.

Gary Ungless recommended he talk to Norfolk-based Steve Cato Classic Cars & Restorations, one of many ‘Recommended Suppliers’ listed on the AstonOwners.com website.

Wind forward 4 months to the Practical Classics, Classic Car & Restoration Show where that car will be on display as it continues its journey back to roadworthy condition.

Steve Cato will be on hand during the show to answer questions about the processes involved in taking over and continuing the owner’s work.

Gary, who is also one of the founders of AstonOwners.com comments:

“We launched AstonOwners.com as a not-for-profit subscriber website designed to help keep Aston Martin cars where they belong, on the road.

“We wanted to encourage other Aston Martin owners to share their experiences, including endorsing suppliers and specialists they’ve used to work on their own cars. That enables our subscribers to have confidence in making decisions about who can help maintain, repair and restore their Aston Martin.

“Steve Cato has worked on my cars and so I knew he would be able and willing to take on this DB5.”

Come along to see the work-in-progress and talk to our experts about everything relating to Aston Martin, from working on them to driving them around Europe.

AstonOwners.com can be found on Stand 280 in Hall 3.
