Now Paul has gone, we really realised how much he did. At every event, he would be motivating all of us to get things going and offering help at every point. Not just help at the glamour end, Paul would be the first to pick up litter and sweep up, whilst also being the first person to do the really engaging jobs on stands and at shows. The latter may sound easy, for 3 days Paul would engage with visitors, all day answering the same questions over and over, remaining professional but also not letting people shout him down. He would be the person asking me, the events organiser, to get things going if I were not getting things sorted. Paul would always be the person who came through, reliable and ready for whatever we gave him and more! This will be the first NEC since his passing, and we miss him already; it just won't be the same again!
