Jonathan Cotterill - Commonwealth Car Club
We would like to nominate Jonathan Cotterill as the Classic Car Weekly Club Hero 2026, in recognition of the dedication, generosity, and enthusiasm he has shown to the Commonwealth Car Club since its very beginning. From the club’s inception in March 2024, Jonathan has stood firmly at our side. What began as a small group of founding members taking part in the opening ceremony of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where 72 red, white, and blue cars came together to form a breathtaking Union Flag, has since grown into something truly special. The club now has over 10,000 followers and has been involved in some remarkable and memorable events. Through every step of that journey, Jonathan has been there. Quite simply, Jonathan has attended every single event the club has organised. His presence has never wavered. He has continually helped promote the club, championing its values and spirit wherever he goes, and he has gone above and beyond by making monthly donations to help ensure the club can continue to grow and thrive. His commitment is not occasional or conditional; it is constant, reliable, and deeply appreciated. Jonathan’s support was further highlighted when he was selected as one of just four members invited to display their car at the club’s very first involvement in the Classic Motor Show 2025. This milestone moment for the club was made even more special by having such a committed and deserving member representing us. What makes Jonathan’s contribution even more meaningful is that his passion does not stand alone. His family has been just as supportive, embodying everything the Commonwealth Car Club stands for. Together, they showcase the true heart of classic car ownership, shared across generations, built on enthusiasm, pride, and togetherness. They are a living example of how this hobby brings people closer, not just as club members, but as families and communities. By nominating Jonathan Cotterill as our Classic Car Weekly Club Hero 2026, we wish to formally recognise and thank him for the immense effort, dedication, and loyalty he has shown. His commitment has helped shape the club into what it is today, and his passion continues to inspire others within it. This nomination is a small token of our appreciation for everything Jonathan has given and continues to give to the Commonwealth Car Club.
