M25 Classics 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Sedan

M25 Classics 1952 Chevrolet Styleline Sedan

Who can resist the charms of such a big slice of classic Americana? It’s certainly eye-catching, and a car that we think will grab plenty of attention at this year’s show. It’s got quite an interesting history, too.

The owner explains that it was sold new in Kenya, before being shipped to the UK at the beginning of the 1970s. It was then registered in north London in 1973, and after remaining in the UK for a few years it was then exported to the Isle of Man. This Chevy has certainly travelled around!

Bought from a deceased estate, it appears to have been off the road for many years although the condition is described as being ‘quite solid’. It is also possible that it’s covered just 30,000 miles from new, although the current owner is unable to verify this.

Power comes from a straight-six engine that drives the rear wheels via a 3-speed automatic transmission, and while outright performance is likely to be modest it’s easy to imagine just how relaxing it would be when it comes to covering big miles.

Spacious, comfortable and with styling complemented by plenty of chrome it’s a very tempting proposition and one that could be the perfect project for anyone that admires American motors from this era.

After the end of the 1952 model year, the old nameplates—Special and Deluxe—were retired which makes this car even more appealing.
