This year’s gathering of rediscovered treasures at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show, with Discovery, will be sponsored by Carole Nash Insurance. Featuring around 20 classics that have been forgotten, abandoned or left to rot, the Carole Nash Barn Find Display already has its first two vehicles rescued for the show.

An Austin A35, with just one lady owner from new and only 24,000 miles on the clock, is the first car to be showcased. Sold when new by Mann Egerton in Norwich, the A35 has spent all its life in Worlingham near Beccles Suffolk. The lady owner sadly passed away in the early 1980s and her house and all her possessions lay untouched for decades including  her beloved A35. Her daughter passed away and the property had to be cleared, so the car was offered to Gavin Boast who has moved the car into dry storage but it remains in its as found condition.

The second car is a 1982 BMW 535i MSport which has been off the road since 1993 after the owner sadly passed away at a young age. The car was his pride and joy and his widow could not bear to part with it so it remained untouched for over 20 years in the garage. She decided to down size her property but the new house did not have a garage so the car needed a new home. Gavin and his friend David bought the car and plan to recommission it, trying to keep as much of its as found condition as possible.

See these and more classics like them in the Carole Nash Barn Find Display and if you have a classic lurking in the back of a barn, garage or even under a tarpaulin at the bottom of the garden, please let us know. It could be the star of the show!
