Volvo Enthusiasts Club
The Volvo Enthusiasts Club is bringing a fascinating mix of Swedish engineering history — and some serious live restoration action.
The highlight of the stand is a possibly unique 1954 Volvo PV831 Limousine, once owned by King Gustaf VI of Sweden. The car suffered a catastrophic engine failure years ago and went into long-term storage, but over the course of the show, club members will be removing the 6-cylinder 3.7L Volvo ED engine to strip and prepare it for a full rebuild in time for Volvo’s 100th Birthday in April 2027. Visitors will also see brake inspections, replacement of damaged brake pipes, and a rebuilt master cylinder being fitted and bled.
Other cars on display include:
-
Volvo F88 Truck – Award-winning restored example, marking a revolution in truck design and driver comfort
-
Volvo 480 Celebration (1985) – One of the last models produced, with ongoing restoration work during the show
-
Volvo V70 Limited Edition 2005 Ocean Race – Celebrating 30 years of the iconic V70
-
Volvo 145 – A late example of the estate car that helped establish Volvo’s reputation for big, strong vehicles
-
Volvo 1800S 1967 – Replica of the car driven by Roger Moore in The Saint
Whether you’re a Volvo owner, restoration enthusiast, or simply a fan of rare and historic vehicles, the Volvo Enthusiasts Club stand promises live action, expert insight, and a unique glimpse at one of the UK’s rarest Volvos being brought back to life.
