Swallow Register
The Swallow Register is bringing a fascinating selection of rare 1929–1931 Austin Swallows to the show, including two two-seaters, two saloons, and a part-restored saloon.
Live restoration workVisitors can watch an engine re-build in progress, fitting it into the chassis, connecting the gearbox and propshaft, and seeing whether it will run come Sunday afternoon. Highlights include an early two-seater with a painted radiator shell, the duo-grey saloon restored to the road after years of neglect, and a 1931 saloon upgraded from a 3-speed to a 4-speed gearbox. The part-restored 1931 saloon retains its original engine crankcase and is being reassembled with a mix of original, new, and rebuilt parts—an exciting insight into classic car restoration in action.
