Visitors to the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show can expect plenty of hands-on action at Stand 580 in Hall 5, where a lively team of enthusiasts will once again be rolling up their sleeves and working on a variety of fascinating projects live across the weekend.

Now in their eighth year at the show, the group is bringing along an eclectic mix of vehicles and projects – proving that the world of classic motoring spans everything from full-size classics to childhood favourites.

Among the highlights will be a Morris Minor 1 Million tribute, and not just any tribute either. This unique build is believed to be the only four-door version of its kind, making it a rare sight that’s sure to spark plenty of curiosity among visitors.

You’ll also find a beautifully crafted Jaguar D-Type child’s car, recently upgraded with a new chassis, dashboard, fresh paint and an electric conversion.

Elsewhere on the stand, an Austin Metro L will be receiving new interior components, while a Ford Mondeo Mk1 undergoes a full front suspension rebuild, giving visitors a close-up look at the kind of work many classic owners tackle in their own garages.

Adding to the nostalgic charm will be an Austin J40 pedal car, a reminder that the passion for classic motoring often starts long before anyone gets behind the wheel of a full-size car.

And for many visitors, the biggest throwback of all may be the Raleigh Chopper bicycle, which will be reassembled live at the show. Expect plenty of smiles and likely a few “I had one of those!” moments as this iconic childhood ride comes back together.

With six projects on display and live work happening throughout the weekend, Stand 580 promises to be a fun, informal and hands-on corner of the show, where visitors can watch restorations unfold, chat with the team and enjoy a little classic nostalgia along the way.
