Morris Marina Owners Club & Ital Register
The Morris Marina Owners Club & Ital Register will be bringing a proper cross-section of everyday classics to the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with a mix of Coupes, Saloons and Pick-ups on display. These are cars that were once part of daily life – and the club is all about keeping them usable, fixable and on the road.
This won’t be a roped-off display. The stand will be a working area all weekend, with members carrying out live restoration, servicing and fault-finding, showing the real-world jobs owners face when recommissioning and maintaining Marinas and Itals.
Live work on the standAcross the weekend, expect to see the team getting stuck into:
-
Stripping and repairing a starter motor that won’t turn over
-
Carburettor strip-down and clean
-
Brake overhaul, including sticking calipers and seized rear wheel cylinders
-
Freeing off a stuck clutch (with possible gearbox removal if required)
-
Rear screen rubber refit
-
Corrosion assessment and repairs, including bonnet and hinge issues
-
A full push to get one of the cars running by the close of Sunday
It’s honest, hands-on restoration – the sort of work many owners are tackling at home – with club members on hand to talk through what they’re doing, why it fails, and how to fix it properly.
If you like your classics practical, affordable and used as intended, the Morris Marina Owners Club & Ital Register stand is a great place to pick up real-world tips and see proper problem-solving in action.
