Lancia Beta Forum & Thema Dedra Consortium: Live Restoration in Action
The Lancia Beta Forum and Thema Dedra Consortium are bringing proper workshop action to the show, with live servicing and restoration taking place on some increasingly rare Lancias. On the stand you’ll find a 1979 Lancia Beta Saloon and 1979 Lancia Beta Coupé, alongside two luxury flagships – a 1988 Lancia Thema 8.32 and a 1989 Lancia Thema.
Across the weekend, the team will be carrying out live cambelt changes, detailed servicing and trim work, giving visitors a rare chance to see what it really takes to keep these cars on the road. It’s proper spanners-out stuff, with club members on hand to talk through each job, explain common issues, and share the tricks you only learn by owning and maintaining these cars long-term.
The real star of the stand is the Lancia Beta Saloon. Once a common sight on British roads, it’s now a genuine rarity, with only a handful left roadworthy in the UK. Watching one being worked on live is a reminder of just how important this kind of hands-on preservation is.
If you’ve ever owned a Lancia, are thinking about taking one on as a project, or just love seeing classic cars being properly cared for, this stand is well worth a stop.
