Corrado Club of Great Britain Marks 30 Years with Wheels, Wrenches, and Wisdom
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Corrado Club of Great Britain, and the club is bringing a real treat for visitors. On their stand, enthusiasts can browse some of the very first club magazines, pick up merchandise and free goodies, and soak up the history of this iconic VW community.
The club will be showcasing four VW Corrados, each with different engines, and at least two will be worked on live. Restoration and maintenance demonstrations include:
-
Brake overhauls – both mechanical and hydraulic systems
-
Clutch bleeding – master and slave cylinder servicing
-
General mechanical servicing
Visitors will get a hands-on look at real restoration work, watching experts overhaul brakes on all four wheels of one car, and replace and bleed brake fluid on another, right in the engine bay.
Among the lineup is a US-spec Corrado in Alpine White, featuring automatic seatbelts, a 3rd brake light (a US requirement at the time), air conditioning, cruise control, and a rare interior pattern unique to the North American market – a truly fascinating piece of VW history.
Whether you’re a Corrado owner or simply a fan of hands-on classic car care, the Corrado Club’s stand promises expert demonstrations, rare cars, and plenty of automotive nostalgia.
