Club Triumph Stand: 5-760
Live Resto Action with Club Triumph
Live Resto Action with Club Triumph

Visitors to the Club Triumph stand will be able to get closer than ever to the nuts and bolts of classic car ownership, with a series of live restoration and maintenance demonstrations running throughout the weekend. From suspension work to interior detailing and even engine installation, the club’s knowledgeable members will be sharing practical tips to help enthusiasts keep their Triumphs – and other classics – in top condition.

Taking centre stage will be a fascinating 1950s Triumph Roadster chassis, which is being rebuilt with a twist. Rather than its original powerplant, this unique project features a Rover V8 engine, giving the elegant post-war roadster a serious performance upgrade. Visitors will be able to watch as the team carefully dry-fit the engine, explaining the process and challenges involved in marrying modern performance with classic engineering. It’s a rare opportunity to see a project like this taking shape in real time.

Alongside the Roadster, a 1978 Triumph Dolomite 1500 HL will be the focus of several hands-on maintenance tasks. Club members will demonstrate how to replace suspension bushes, fit a new gearbox mount, and install a fresh exhaust system, all essential jobs that many classic owners will face at some point. They’ll also be tackling interior improvements, including fitting Furflex door seals, as well as working on brake line replacements, offering visitors practical advice on keeping their cars safe and roadworthy.

Elsewhere on the stand, attention will turn to a 1973 Triumph 2000 saloon, where members will be carrying out general servicing and maintenance, highlighting the importance of regular checks and preventative care. Completing the display will be a 1973 Triumph Spitfire Mk4, representing one of the marque’s most beloved open-top sports cars and helping to illustrate the breadth of Triumph’s classic line-up.

Whether you’re deep into a restoration project yourself or simply curious about what goes on behind the scenes, the Club Triumph stand promises to be packed with useful insights and friendly expertise. It’s the perfect place to pick up tips, ask questions, and see how experienced enthusiasts keep these iconic British classics running for generations to come.
