British Historic Kart Club
This year, the British Historic Kart Club is celebrating 70 years of karting worldwide, bringing a thrilling selection of karts spanning the 1960s to 1999, including both direct drive and gearbox models.
The stand will feature live restoration in action, as members assemble a fully restored 1981 100cc Dart Kart fitted with a Hewland Arrow engine — the same kart that will compete at the Coppa di Campioni in Jesolo, Italy, this May.
Other highlights include:
-
A rare 125cc gearbox Miere Kart built in Jersey
-
A 1990 Gillard-TKM 100 Britain class kart
-
A 1977 Zip Shadow 77 in barn-find condition, showing how many historic karts are discovered today
-
A 1968 100cc Robardie Kart built by the late Ronnie Peterson’s father, which won three world championships
Visitors can watch the Dart Kart come together over the weekend, gaining a first-hand look at historic kart engineering and the technical skills required to bring these racing legends back to life.
Whether you’re a karting enthusiast, a restoration fan, or just curious about motorsport history, the British Historic Kart Club stand offers live action, rare karts, and incredible stories from seven decades of racing.
