Jaguar XJS Club Gears Up for Live Restorations

Highlighting the stand is a fully restored 1985 Jaguar XJS Hypersport V12, from collector and restorer Simon Spurrell. First shown at last year’s show while still mid-restoration, this rare Hyper has now been completely stripped, repainted, and upgraded with a rebuilt Pre-HE high-compression 5.3L engine featuring a Mobeck EFI conversion and a 3-speed clutchless manual transmission, inspired by drag racing setups. The estimated restoration cost: around £75,000.

Visitors will also get a sneak peek at other members’ projects:

  • 1983 Jaguar XJS Cabriolet V12 – Rare Chasseur conversion, restoration in progress

  • 1991 Jaguar XJS Coupe 4 Litre – Recently restored

  • 1994 Jaguar XJS Coupe 4 Litre – In need of restoration

  • Jaguar V12 5.3 Litre engine display – Technical insights up close

The club stand will feature live demonstrations covering bodywork, brakes, rear subframe restoration, door actuator repairs, and more – all designed to educate enthusiasts on how to look after their XJS models.

For the second year running, Paul Hands, founder of Hyper Engineering, will be on hand to share his expertise and celebrate the golden era of Jaguar modification and racing from the 1980s and 90s.

Whether you’re a seasoned XJS owner or just a fan of these iconic Jaguars, the Jaguar XJS Club stand promises inspiration, education, and a first-hand look at some incredible restorations.
