Focus MK1 Preservation Club

Focus Mk1 Preservation Club Stand: 5-268
Focus MK1 Preservation Club

There will be three MK1 Focus examples in attendance with a range of bodystyles, engines and conditions.

The first example - A 2001 registered manual 1.8-litre petrol ""Ghia"", which is a rare Saloon version in Pacific Green. This has been very well-maintained and is still a main driver to this day with a low mileage of 69K!  This car is totally to it's original specification with some features being returned to originality by it's current owner who is concentrating on improving the original and slightly tired suspension.

The second example - A 2002 registered manual 2.0-Litre petrol ""Ghia"" in the more familiar 5-Dr Hatchback guise! This car has been cherished most of its life and is now used as an ""occasional weekend driver"". It also has a few OEM-style modifications - a rare ""Recaro-ST170"" leather interior and a ST170 lower ""mesh-style"" bumper grille. Otherwise very original!

The third example - A 2002 registered automatic 1.6-Litre petrol ""Zetec"" in desirable 3-Dr form. This car is totally original and is close to Concourse condition, having been restored by the founder of the club over several years while only just being retired in the last 2 years to ""show and club duties"". It is in fact the owner's first car who has owned it 14 years, not an uncommon length to own a Focus MK1!

The 2001 Ghia Saloon will be receiving a complete rear suspension replacement over the course of the show to showcase the amazing technical excellence of the suspension set-up, but also it's ability to rust and be a danger at this age without major work!

The 2002 Ghia 5-Dr Hatchback requires some urgent work underneath the bonnet such as a thorough clean of the inlet-manifold and a few other areas.
