Sporting Bear's Dream Rides Garage

The Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show, with Discovery, was thrilled to work with the Sporting Bear's again in 2018. What better way is there to raise money for charity than by taking a ten mile passenger ride in the car of your dreams? And so many of you did, making this one of the most successful shows for Sporting Bears with them raising an incredible £16,323.76.

'Dream Rides', run by charity organisation The Sporting Bears Motor Club, offers visitors the opportunity to jump into and experience some of the most spectacular cars in the world, and all you have to do is donate to a wonderful cause. In exchange for a charitable donation, you can pick from the cars in the 'Dream Rides' garage which car you would like to take a ten-mile passenger ride in - the size of the donation depends on the car you choose.

'Dream Rides' wouldn't be possible without the tireless work of the Sporting Bears Motor Club who performs a huge amount of passenger rides each day, at the three day event. They are a group of classic car enthusiast that raise money for children's charities across the nation, through their own touring and social events. Each member gives their time, car and fuel for free so every penny raised goes to their nominated charities. There is s Dream Ride for everyone!

The one thing guaranteed to be in the Sporting Bears' Dream Rides Garage is a rare find, and this year's event is offered some incredible rides, including a couple of steam engines from the Traction Engine Trust.

Two other cars of note was a very rare MG SV-R. Based on the Qvale Mangusta with a Ford Mustang V8 and styling by Peter Stevens, only about 50 were produced. Another fantastic car offered up for charity rides was an eye-catching Lamborghini Huracan Performante, the fastest production car to have driven the famous Nordschleife Nurburgring Circuit.
