Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership
The Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership celebrates classic cars and their owners, gathering together those enthusiasts with heart-warming stories behind their vehicle that show they are some of the rarest, most unusual and most cherished cars in the UK. Cars up to the year 2000 are considered - from pre-war to the noughties. The standard of the car is obviously important, but the passion of the owner and the journey the car has gone on is equally, if not more important.
This years' competition had 20 well deserving finalists who collectively put on a fantastic display. Paul Clappison's 1972 MGB GT was crowned the winner, with Bron Burrell's ex-World Cup Rally Austin Maxi called 'Puff'; taking second and Grahams Varley's 1933 VW Corrado VR6 in third.
"We're thrilled to be involved and to help give enthusiasts the opportunity to exhibit their pride and joy. The cars displayed show perfectly the dedication the classic community has for their cars. We love seeing the beauties on display and hear the incredible stories behind them" Richard Morley, Operations Director, Lancaster Insurance, Sponsors of the Pride of Ownership
