The 2021 National Car Club Awards return to present ‘unique awards for a unique time’ with three accolades decided by the judging panel but one to be decided by the classic motoring community – Your Lockdown Hero Award.
Enthusiasts are invited to nominate a club member who has gone above and beyond to help others during lockdown – be it by doing something extraordinary or just being a tower of strength during a difficult time. The award will be given to someone from a club that has been a lifeline, a helper and bringer of joy in any capacity during the past year.

To nominate, just send your basic contact information and up to 250 words outlining what your nominee has done that makes them your lockdown hero. Closing date is 18th March 2021.

Lee Masters, Chairman of the National Car Club Awards judging panel said: “We felt that we could not let the continued efforts of the clubs and their members go unrecognised in what has been a challenging year for all. It has been great to see clubs supporting each other as well as their own members and marques. We want to join together to celebrate what they have done and recognise their achievements.

“I’d also like to thank our panel of expert judges for their generous time and considered deliberations to help find the winners of the 2021 National Car Club Awards.”

The other three Judges Special Recognition awards, presented for efforts/achievements in lockdown are Best Club Contribution to Charity, Best Club Online Initiative and Outstanding Lockdown Restoration.

The Best Club Contribution to Charity award will be presented to a club which has demonstrated outstanding charitable fundraising or support for charitable aims during these extraordinary times. The motivation to help is one of the most admirable qualities of our community, the achievement of the winner will be an inspiration to us all and a reminder that we can help others even during challenging times.

Best Club Online Initiative will be presented to a club that has created or developed inspirational digital content for its members during the last 12 months. Reaching across the void that lockdown created to support, encourage, and inspire its members to keep passionate about classics.

Many club members have taken the opportunity to undertake challenging restoration projects during the past 12 months. The winner of the Outstanding Lockdown Restoration award will be a truly extraordinary example of quality workmanship achieved under challenging circumstances.
